How do I get to Nozawa Onsen?

What time is check-in / check-out?

Check-in: 3:00pm

What is the cancellation policy?

In case of no-show on date of arrival - 100% of accommodation cost will be charged.

• Booking cancellation made 1-7 days prior to date of arrival - 50% of accommodation cost will be charged.

• Booking cancellation made 8-14 days prior to date of arrival - 30% of accommodation cost will be charged.

• Booking cancellation made more than two weeks prior to date of arrival - 20% of accommodation cost will be charged.

• The hotel has the right not to refund deposit in case of delayed cancellation or without informing the hotel about cancellation.

How do we send our luggage to and from the airport / other accommodation?

“Tak-Q-bin” (Express courier service) is available at / from the airports or any hotel in Japan, you may send your luggage or ski/snowboard bags directly to us provided you have the hotel address ready on hand. Delivery time usually takes around 24 hours or so. 

We will keep your bags in storage until you arrive.  Please note if sending luggage to an airport, it must be ready to send by 11am, at least 2 days prior to your flight. Approximate price for a suitcase or ski bag: 2,000 - 3,000 yen.

Do you provide a pick up service from Iiyama train station?

No, please refer to Location page for further directions. Pick up service from Chuo bus terminal is subject to staff availability. 

We are within 3 minutes walk, 200 metres away from the Chuo bus terminal.

Do you have western beds available? or do you only have futons?

We are a European Japanese style accommodation which has western beds and thick mattresses on flooring with down feather comforters (doona/duvet). Our mattresses would be considered to be a firm western style mattress.

Do all rooms have toilet and shower in Hotel Haus St. Anton?

Not exactly. There are fifteen guest rooms available, eight with ensuite facilities, two with private toilet, five without toilet. 

Rooms with ensuite : Designer's Twin, Standard Twin, Triple Room, Quad Room, Compact Twin & Compact Double.

Room with toilet : Woody Quad 101, Woody Twin 107

Rooms with no toilet have access to toilets each floor which are shared with guests from other rooms. 

In door onsen  / Bath : There are two separate public onsen / ion bath with designated time for both male and female.

Do you have a laundry on site?

Laundry service  is available for 1,000 yen ( up to 5kg wash and dry).

Is there room service/cleaning?

For guests who stay for 4  nights or more, our cleaning team will change the sheets every three days and again after you check out.

Amenities will be replaced and rubbish will be collected daily. Towels are exchangeable upon request.

Should I book my gears in advance? 

It's not compulsory ro pre-book, but we highly recommend to do during peak time. The whole procedure will be easier and less hassle when we have the required information. You can also sort them on the spot if you prefer.

Where do I book ski lessons? Is there any English speaking instructors? 

Yes, there's English speaking instructors available.  Please book your ski lessons through the official Nozawa Onsen Ski Resort website.

We would recommend to book your ski lessons in advance during peak time.

Can I leave my rental gears at the shop overnight? 

You are more than welcome to leave your rental gears at the shop for free during your rental period. For personal items/gears, 200 yen per item will be charged. However, we recommend you to store your gear at your accommodation for extra security if you bring your own gear. 

We do not store helmets and gloves to prevent misplacement. We do not take any responsibility for any lost if you left your helmets and gears at the shop.

Can I change my ski to snowboards or the other way round during rental period? 

Yes you can change your skis for 500 yen/swap. From ski⇔snowboards, charge will be 1,000yen /swap.

Can I rent goggles and gloves at the shop?

Due to sanitary purposes, goggles and gloves are not available for rental. They are only for sell.

Where can I buy lift passes? Do you sell them at the rental shop?

No, we do not sell lift passes at the  shop, ski passes are available for purchase at the Hikage Information Centre which is 2 minutes away.

How much is ski hire?

The prices for ski or snowboard hire varies on the amount of time you want to hire for, and what type of gear you hire.

How old does children / senior rates apply?

Child rates apply for children 6-15 years old (or up to elementary school if attending school in Japan). Children under 6 years old ski for free when accompanied by an adult. Senior rates apply for ages 60 and above.

Is there any discount if I stay at Hotel Haus St. Anton?

Yes, all our hotel patrons will receive 30% discount off on any gear rentals and are able to store their gears for free during rental period.

What size is available for juniors ? ​​

For ski wears, we have stock from size 90cm onwards, boots size from 14cm onwards.
